Faith
We believe and value the power of incorporating religion or spirituality into treatment, whatever that looks like for each client. We believe that we are spiritual beings living a human experience, personally transformed and purpose-driven so that we can make a difference.
At Tri-Counseling, we believe in God the Father, Jesus Christ, and the Holy Spirit. We believe that we have been granted access to everything that pertains to life and godliness through our faith in Jesus Christ.
Love
It’s simple – Jesus is Love. We believe in the love of all people.
Mental Health
We believe in the importance of mental health and vitality.
Mental health is essential to the mind, body, and spirit connection. Mental health promotes personal well-being and is fundamental to achieving a healthy, balanced, and productive life.
We believe that with quality treatment, individuals can overcome mental health illnesses, learn skills to stay well, and do what they want to do with their lives.
Equality
We believe that everyone deserves a seat at the table. Yes, we believe that God has a plan or purpose for everyone, and we all are of great value to the world.
Each individual is treated as an equal with dignity, compassion, mutual respect, and unconditional high regard, a unique, special individual. This includes acceptance of diversity concerning culture, ethnicity, language, religion, race, gender, age, disability, sexual preference, and “readiness” issues and treating others the same way.
Authenticity
We believe in being able to see ourselves through the lens of Wholeness.
The best therapists can pull from their unique experiences, professional credentials, and expertise to be fully present, responsive, and real – showing up as our most authentic self facilitates meaningful connections between therapist and client. It models genuineness and creates a safe space for clients to work toward healing.
Meaning
We believe in creating a space for individuality and empowering all to discover their unique voice and that life is meaningful.
Mental health information is worthless if it doesn’t meet you where you are, in your particular situation, at your current juncture in life. You know your life best and what you’re experiencing—utilizing various approaches to develop client-centered techniques that foster more meaningful lives.
Evidence-Based Practices
We believe in using an evidence-based treatment that has proven effective. For that reason, we value ongoing competencies and education to provide high-quality, up-to-date, and highly relevant material for the mental health profession.
Community
We believe that without caring family, friends, and community support, a person experiencing mental health challenges can be left adrift, ashamed, with nowhere to turn, and denied access to the care they need.
Understanding the harmful impact of the cultural stigma around mental health challenges is essential to providing mental health services to an inclusive community. Unless we promote community understanding of mental health illness, plus tolerance and acceptance of people living with challenges, people will continue to avoid talking about mental illness and seeking treatment.
Respect
Everyone has the right to be heard and treated with dignity and respect, to protect their privacy, and to have their documents treated confidentially.
At Tri-Counseling, we respect the person, their family, support, experience, values, beliefs, and culture.
